October Process Piece – Emily Holmes

emily 2

For this month’s process piece, we’re interviewing Emily Holmes.

Throughout the month, Emily will be describing her artwork and answering a few questions on her styles, mediums, inspirations and more!

Artist Statement

My name is Emily Holmes, and this is my fifth semester at UW-Parkside. My major is in art with a concentration in two-dimensional art.  I currently live with my boyfriend and our two roommates.

What art styles do you use?

I tend to draw tons of different people and faces. I draw a lot of inspiration from the human body.

What mediums do you use most?

I mainly draw using colored and drawing pencils. I don’t work with paints as much as I would like to, but I prefer acrylic paint to oil paint.

Stay tuned for the rest of October to find out more about Emily’s artwork.
