Poetry: Bestiality, Puberty, and Disney Replays

poem 4-17

Bestiality, Puberty and Disney Replays

by Zebulon Huset

When Susie got to control the TV
…….for her bedtime movie
…………..Ang & her two friends named Elle
…….stayed in their places in protest
as Beauty & the Beast began once again.
…….Musing about Belle’s obvious
…………..fascination with animal cock
…….drew a giggle from her friends
& a harsh shh from her attending mother.

“You know it’s not like
…….he has a regular person’s dick
…………under that fur, look at him!”

…….9th Grade was fast approaching.

Angie’s mom stomped & pointed
…….to the door in a way that reminded Ang
…………..of Susie being refused her movie
…….and felt even more rebellion welling
beneath her huffing ribcage.

As they left she asked the Elles
…….where Eric figured
…………..he was going to give it to Ariel
…….after she became a mermaid again,
and bathed in the dichotomy
…….of her mother’s cold scowl
…………..and her friends’ laughter.

…….But the warmth always won, kept her
looking to chase that dragon’s breath
…….because the friends that encircled her
…………..laughed at sex jokes most.

…………..At least, the good laugh—
…….not like when she told them
about her Little Mermaid dream—
…….wordless, finless, homeless.
…………..Eric had disappeared and
…….she called and called for Ursala
to retransmogrify her
…….back into what she was before
…………..she got her first crush
…………..but the witch too was gone—
…….so she just walked
into the ocean & she woke up
…….with salty cheeks and a damp pillow—
…………..her throat to dry to croak
