An Interview with Juliet Marillier

Juliet Marillier has written ten historical fantasy novels for adults, including the Sevenwaters series, and two novels for young adults. She was born in New Zealand and now lives in Western Australia. A graduate of Otago University, Juliet worked as a teacher and public servant before becoming a full-time writer.
Juliet’s books have won a number of awards including the Aurealis Award (three times), the Sir Julius Vogel Award, the American Library Association’s Alex Award, and the Prix Imaginales for novel in translation. Her most recent novel is the gothic fantasy-romance Heart’s Blood, published in 2009. Seer of Sevenwaters will be published in December 2010.
Juliet is a member of the Druid order OBOD (the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids.) She shares her home with a small pack of needy dogs and a sweet-tempered cat.
